| Reid student and Mrs. Butler |
On October 9th, students from the seventh, eighth and ninth grades came to The Wentworth to interview our residents about their lives, experiences and families for a class project. We had an outstanding crowd of sixteen residents and sixteen students and boy was it a full house!

| Reid School's Shauna Tateoka talks with Mrs. Richins |
One of the important things about inter-generational activities is the young learning from the old. Our residents represent so many rich cultures, experiences, knowledge and all around walks of life. How exciting it was for one student to learn that his resident has lived in seven different countries! Or that another resident was 106 years old and had just attended a special luncheon held by Governor Herbert just a week prior. Many students were nervous and shy when they entered our activity room but by the end of the hour they were laughing and carrying on with their resident as if they had just reconnected with an old friend (no pun intended).

The Reid School students learned many things that day including social, interviewing and writing skills. After they complete their "Resident Reports" they will return to our facility to give their written accounts to their interviewed resident. It was an all around positive experience and we hope to invite the Reid School back again next year.
