Election 2012

November is right around the corner. Usually this means Thanksgiving get togethers, crisp, cool weather and  hot apple cider. This year is special as it is an election year.
Election Day in the United States is the day set by law for the general elections of public officials. It occurs on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November. The earliest possible date is November 2 and the latest possible date is November 8. The next election will be held on November 6, 2012.
For many senior citizens, absentee ballots are essential in having their voices heard. You can get an absentee ballot by contacting your local government office (city hall) or printing off a form online and mailing it in. The state of Utah makes their absentee ballot application available here. The Wentworth at East Millcreek takes very seriously a resident's rights and we make every effort to make sure their need for citizenship, dignity and community is experienced. In addition to providing an in house opportunity to vote we will also be taking our more mobile residents to vote this election day.
