Wow what an exciting couple of months we have had! The winter blahs are melting away and the Activities Department is excited to finally start planning all of those fantastic outdoor activities that we have missed during the cold months.
Last month we were thrilled to welcome The Utah School for the Deaf & the Blind to our facility. It was a very special day for the residents of The Wentworth at East Millcreek and for the students of USDB. After a very informative and ice-breaking question/ answer session, the students handed out hand tied fleece blankets they had made. Each student picked out their blanket and found a resident to give it to; it was serendipitous how the students seemed to know exactly who who enjoy what design/ color of blanket. We enjoyed cupcakes and punch courtesy of Pine Mountain Home Health and Hospice. Coming up in March we will have a bus ride to Gilgal Sculpture Gardens, MacCool's Public House lunch trip, and our St. Patrick's Day party with dancers from the Rinceoiri Don Spraoi School of Irish Dance and Bagpiper Jason Killpack.
